The University of Cincinnati plays a pair of road games this week beginning Thursday in Hartford, Conn., when it faces Connecticut at 7 p.m. ET. The contest will be televised by ESPN and can be heard on 700 WLW. The Bearcats also travel to Notre Dame on Sunday.

UC (19-7, 7-6 BIG EAST) dropped a 62-55 decision at home to then-No. 15 Georgetown on Friday. JaQuon Parker led the Bearcats with 15 points to go with six rebounds. Sean Kilpatrick and Cashmere Wright scored 12 points each. Kilpatrick added six rebounds and four assists. Cheikh Mbodj contributed seven rebounds and a game-high five blocks.

Connecticut (17-7, 7-5 BIG EAST) suffered a 70-61 home loss to Villanova on Saturday. Omar Calhoun led the Huskies with 16 points, going 9-for-9 from the free-throw line and grabbing a team-high six rebounds. Deandre Daniels had 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field. Shabazz Napier handed out a game-high 10 assists.

The Bearcats earned an exciting 70-67 win over the Huskies last season (Jan. 23) in Storrs, Conn., when Kilpatrick made a three-pointer with 2.7 seconds remaining.

The UC win snapped a two-game losing streak in the series for the Bearcats. UConn leads the series 7-3. The series is tied 2-2 in Connecticut. UConn leads 3-1 in Cincinnati and 2-0 at neutral sites.

Cincinnati Storylines
-Senior guard JaQuon Parker was named to the BIG EAST Conference weekly honor roll on Monday after averaging 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds for the week. He also shot 52.6 percent from the field (10 of 19) and 66.7 percent from three-point range (4 of 6). He led the Bearcats in scoring in both games last week with 19 points while shooting 6 of 10 from the field with a trio of three-pointers against Villanova.  He also netted 15 points on 4 of 9 shooting to go with six rebounds against then-No. 15 Georgetown.
-Sean Kilpatrick is averaging 19.6 points during the last eight games while shooting 39.2 percent from the field (49 of 125). He also has made a team-high 27 three-pointers while averaging 5.1 rebounds.
-Cashmere Wright became the school's all-time steals leader when he recorded three steals against Georgetown on Friday. Wright passed David "Puffy"  Kennedy (189 from 1977-81).
-Wright also ranks third in career assists (460), is tied for fifth in games played (131) and lists 27th in career points (1,232) at Cincinnati.
-Wright is the only player in school history to tally at least 1,200 career points as well as 450 assists and 175 steals.
-A win Thursday at Connecticut would give UC at least 20 wins in a season for the third consecutive year. The Bearcats were 26-9 in 2011 and 26-11 a year ago. The last time the Bearcats' program won at least 20 games in three consecutive seasons was 2004-06 under Bob Huggins.
-UC has won 13 of its last 17 games away from Fifth Third Arena since a 72-68 victory at Villanova in the 2012 BIG EAST regular-season finale on March 3. The Bearcats are 8-2 away from home this season with five wins in true road games.
-The Bearcats are 19-0 when scoring 61 or more points this season.

Scouting Connecticut
-Prior to Saturday's 70-61 home loss to Villanova, Connecticut had won two in a row and five of its last six. The Huskies have lost back-to-back games only once this season, dropping a 73-58 home game to Louisville (Jan. 14) before losing 69-61 at Pittsburgh (Jan. 19).
-UConn has four players averaging double figures in scoring: Shabazz Napier (16.3), Ryan Boatright (15.4), Omar Calhoun (11.5) and Deandre Daniels (10.7).
-Napier and Boatright rank eighth and ninth, respectively, in the BIG EAST in scoring. Napier is also fourth in steals (2.04), fifth in three-pointers made (2.13), fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.29-to-1) and seventh in assists (4.67).
-The duo also ranks fourth and sixth in the league, respectively, in minutes played with Napier averaging 36.3 minutes and Boatright averaging 35.0 minutes.
-As a team, UConn ranks among the league leaders in free-throw shooting (first at 74.7 percent), blocked shots (fourth at 4.42), steals (fourth at 7.96), field-goal shooting (fifth at 45.0 percent), turnover margin (fifth at +2.17) and three-pointers made (fifth at 6.21).
