Men's Basketball Celebrates "Ring of Red Game" with Several Promotions|

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team will conclude the home portion of the regular season on Tuesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. when it hosts nationally-ranked Villanova at Fifth Third Arena. The game, which has been designated as the team's annual "Ring of Red" game, will also be the Senior Night for outgoing players Deonta Vaughn and Steve Toyloy. Fans are asked to wear the color red to the game in support of the Bearcats.
To celebrate the final home game of Vaughn and Toyloy, the Department of Athletics will be selling upper level seats to the game for $5.42, representing the players' numbers (Vaughn - 5; Toyloy - 42). To purchase the specially priced tickets, patrons can call 1-877-CATS-TIX beginning Monday or go online 24 hours a day towww.CATSTIX.com.
Beside the pregame Senior Night ceremony, UC will also kick-off the two-year celebration of its 1961 and 1962 back-to-back NCAA Championships teams by welcoming back members of the two squads to be recognized at halftime. Over the next 24 months, the University will hold numerous events around the basketball season to honor the past greats of the program. The UC student body is also encouraged to attend the game to be there as head football coach Butch Jones awards the winners of the "Bearcats Nation Student Attendance Program" their season tickets for the 2010 football season. Two (?) students will also be randomly selected from the crowd to compete in a "Student Free Throw Challenge" for the chance to win free books for a semester.
