CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati is proud to partner with the March of Dimes to bring you the 2nd Annual March of Dimes Madness. When the Cincinnati Bearcats Men’s Basketball team takes on the Seton Hall Pirates on Saturday, March 7, Bearcats Athletics will donate $5 to the March of Dimes for every ticket sold through this promotional offer.
The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. This mission is carried out through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies’ lives.
The University of Cincinnati is an important partner to the March of Dimes push towards their marquee fundraising event, the annual March for Babies. The Clermont County March for Babies is Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Miami Meadows Park and the Cincinnati March for Babies is being held Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Sawyer Point Park.
"We are very excited about the partnership we have developed with the University of Cincinnati over the years," said Kara Kasee, Community Director of March of Dimes. "UC Continues to grow in their support of the March of Dimes with a student serving on the local Board of Directors, March for Babies fundraising team, and for the past two years with Bearcats Men’s Basketball."
"We look forward to the game on March 7th and encourage our volunteers, sponsors, and community partners to join us in cheering on the Bearcats to victory," added Margie Wright, Executive Director of March of Dimes.
