The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team, seeded No. 6 in the West Region, take on No. 11 seed Missouri in the second-round of the 2011 NCAA Championship on Thursday, March 17, at approximately 9:50 p.m. in Washington, D.C.

  • Sean Kilpatrick was named to the BIG EAST all-Rookie team. He was the only Bearcat to achieve all-conference honors.
  • The Bearcats lead the BIG EAST in scoring defense, holding opponents to a stingy 59.2 points per game. That's also good for eighth in the NCAA Division I statistical rankings.
  • In BIG EAST games, UC had held opponents to less than 60 points on seven occasions, including two games in which they were held under 50 points.
  • UC has a current streak of four BIG EAST wins away from home.
  • The Bearcats' 25 wins this season marks the first time they've topped 20 wins since the 2005-06 season.
  • UC has gone undefeated against non-conference foes this season (13-0) marking the first time since the 1998-99 season when it went 14-0.
  • The Bearcats are one of five teams from the major conferences to win more games than the previous year in each of the last four seasons. The other school are Baylor, California, Duke, and Purdue. UC is the only one of these schools so far to extend its streak to a fifth-consecutive season.
