Cronin to Speak at NABC Convention on Saturday

University of Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin will speak at the National Basketball Coaches Association Convention on Saturday, April 5 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.

Cronin will be one of 14 speakers headlining the organization’s professional development series, an on-going educational program intended to develop well-rounded basketball coaches on a professional and personal level.

The 2014 American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, Cronin will discuss key principles that have helped lead the Bearcats to four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances and more than 100 victories since the start of the 2010-11 campaign.

Other speakers include Central Missouri head coach Kim Anderson; Herb Brown, a longtime fixture in the NBA and global basketball; Saint Louis head coach Jim Crews; Trinity University (Texas) head coach Pat Cunningham; Kilgore College head coach Brian Hoberecht; Mercer head coach Bob Hoffman; former Eastern Washington head coach Jerry Krause; Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall; former Wake Forest and South Carolina head coach Dave Odom; analytics expert Ken Pomeroy; Missouri Kansas City head coach Kareem Richardson and DeMatha Catholic High School strength and conditioning coach Alan Stein.

Cronin will speak beginning at 10 a.m. CT at the convention which is only open to basketball coaches and their guests.

This year’s convention will be held in conjunction with the NCAA Men’s Final Four which will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, April 5 and 7.
