April 6, 2011
CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team held its annual end-of-season awards banquet at The Montgomery Inn Wednesday evening.
UC President Dr. Gregory H. Williams and athletic director Mike Thomas addressed the crowd to open the evening. Awards were given for statistical leaders: assists to Cashmere Wright, rebounds to Yancy Gates, three-point field goal percentage to Sean Kilpatrick and free throw percentage to Dion Dixon. Rashad Bishop was honored as the team's best defensive player and Gates was recognized for topping 1,000 career points. The most valuable player award was then split seven ways: to six senior student athletes - Larry Davis, Anthony McClain, Eddie Tyree, Darnell Wilks, Ibrahima Thomas and Bishop - and to senior student manager Scott Ratterman.
The evening ended with remarks by Bearcats head coach Mick Cronin.
