USA Tops Norway 91-51 at World University Games

University of Cincinnati senior guard Sean Kilpatrick scored six points and had three assists in 16 minutes in USA's 91-51 win over Norway on Sunday at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia.

The USA next faces Germany at 10 a.m. (times listed are local; Kazan, Russia is +8 hours from EDT) on July 15, with the winner of that game moving on to play for ninth place at 3 p.m. on July 16, which is the best-possible finish for the USA after missing the medal round, Germany improved to 4-2 after topping Mongolia 101-48 on Sunday.

Indiana's Will Sheehey led the USA with 16 points on 7-if-9 shooting from the field. Byalor's Cory Jefferson and Iowa's Aaron White added 11 points and seven rebounds each. Creighton's Doug McDermott had 10 points.

The USA outscored Norway 38-10 in fastbreak points and had 23 points off 19 Norwegian turnovers. The Americans outscored Norway 25-10 in the second period and continued to build its lead for the 40-point victory.
