Former University of Cincinnati forward Titus Rubles has signed to play professional basketball in Iceland during the coming season.

Rubles will play for Keflavik of the Iceland-Dominos League. The squad finished second in the conference last season with an 18-4 record en route to winning the Icelandic Lengjan Cup.

A 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward from Dallas, Texas, Rubles enjoyed his best season as a Bearcat during the 2013-14 campaign. He averaged career highs in points (7.3), rebounds (6.8) and minutes played (29.0). He ranked among American Athletic Conference leaders in rebounds (ninth at 6.8), offensive rebounds (ninth at 2.5) and defensive rebounds (ninth at 2.6). He also ranked fifth in the league in rebounds during conference action (7.4).

Rubles averaged 8.7 points and 8.7 rebounds during UC's last six games. He shot 88.6 percent from the free-throw line during the final two months of the season, making 22 consecutive free throws during an eight-game stretch. He poured in a career-high 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting and made all six free-throw attempts against Memphis on UC's Senior Night on March 6.

Rubles served as co-captain along with Justin Jackson and Sean Kilpatrick on last season's squad that posted a 27-7 overall record and 15-3 league mark. The Bearcats won a share of the American's regular-season crown and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season.

Rubles is the second UC player on last season's squad to sign a professional basketball contract this month. Forward Justin Jackson inked a deal on Aug. 4 to play in Athens, Greece, with AR Ne Kifisia Dimoulas Athens.
