Tip-Off Club Recruits New Members|
Aug. 27, 2014
The Tip-Off Club, a fundraising group for the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team, hosted a membership recruiting event on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
Hosted by John Isidor and Bill Katz at the home of Dr. David and Betsy Scheider in Indian Hill, the event helped build excitement for the coming Bearcats season while encouraging those in attendance to join the club.
Speakers included UC Director of Athletics Mike Bohn, Bearcats head coach Mick Cronin and UC Board of Trustees chairman Tom Humes. Among the more than 50 people in attendance were former Bearcats Roland West, Terry Nelson and Ryan Fletcher as well as former UC Board of Trustees chairman Fran Barrett.
The Tip-Off Club provides financial support to help fund the targeted needs of the men's basketball program. Monies raised help fund yearly team travel and other select projects, including the construction of a new locker room and lounge areas for the team that is scheduled for completion in spring 2015.
All members receive exclusive team email updates, invitations to special events, access to select practices and UCATS annual membership benefits at the appropriate giving level. Donation levels include: starter ($1,000), all-conference ($2,500), all-american ($5,000) and MVP ($10,000).
