CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati men’s basketball fans will have two opportunities to get a preview of the 2009-10 Bearcats as the team will hold two one-hour open practices in Fifth Third Arena. The first practice on Saturday, Oct. 24 will take place at 1:30 p.m. as part of Homecoming activities leading up to the Louisville football game. The second practice will take place on Halloween, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m.

The open practices will feature the Bearcats going head-to-head against one another in a practice setting.

As head coach Mick Cronin opens his fourth season at UC, the start to the 2009-10 season is his most anticipated as the Bearcats return an experienced and highly talented line-up that includes senior guard Deonta Vaughn, a two-time all-BIG EAST Conference selection and Cincinnati native Yancy Gates who was a 2008-09 BIG EAST All-Rookie honoree. New faces like McDonald’s High School All-American Lance Stephenson, Virginia High School Player of the Year Jaquon Parker and New York prep star Sean Kilpatrick give the Bearcats a new level of depth.

Season tickets for 2009-10 UC men’s basketball are on sale now. Ticket prices in UCATS Reserved areas (donations required) range from $310 for Young Professionals to $485 in the lower arena.
