The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team plays host to NC State as part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon on Tuesday. The contest tips at 5 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN and 700 WLW.

The Bearcats are coming off a 74-61 season-opening home win over NC Central on Friday. Preseason first team All-American Athletic Conference selection Sean Kilpatrick led UC with 22 points on 6-of-13 shooting with a pair of three-pointers, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. Teammates Titus Rubles and Jermaine Sanders added 13 points each. Rubles pulled down a team-high eight rebounds to go with three steals while Sanders made a trio of three-pointers with four rebounds and three assists.

NC State also won its season opener on Friday, earning a 98-77 home win over Appalachian State - UC's opponent on Saturday. The Wolfpack were led in scoring by T.J. Warren's 27 points on 13-of-20 shooting from the field. Desmond Lee dropped in 24 points while making 10 of 12 field goals.

Tuesday's game marks the second of four home contests for the Bearcats in the Global Sports Shootout. UC also will welcome Appalachian State (Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. on FOX Sports Ohio/WEBN 102.7 FM) and Campbell (Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. on ESPN3/700 WLW).

Tuesday's matchup with the Wolfpack marks the eighth meeting in series history. NC State owns a 6-1 advantage overall, including an 85-77 win on Dec. 23, 2007 in Raleigh, N.C. The Bearcats won the only series meeting at Fifth Third Arena, an 80-71 decision on Dec. 23, 2006. Five of the seven games in the series were played in the 1940s and 1950s.

Cincinnati Storylines
-The 2013-14 Bearcats return two starters and eight lettermen from last season's team that finished 22-12 overall and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive season.
-Senior guard Sean Kilpatrick, who was named first team All-American Athletic Conference by the league's coaches, averaged 17.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.41 three-pointers last season. He led UC with 22 points to go with seven rebounds in the NC Central win on Friday.
-Senior forwards Justin Jackson and Titus Rubles man the UC frontcourt. Jackson ranked eighth in the BIG EAST Conference in blocks (1.37) last season. Rubles is UC's returning leader in rebounds and assists.
-Shaquille Thomas and Ge'Lawn Guyn recorded their first career starts Friday against NC Central. Troy Caupain, Kevin Johnson and Jermaine Lawrence played in their first collegiate game.
-The Bearcats were picked fourth in the American preseason coaches' poll. UC received 58 points to finish behind predicted league champion, Louisville (81 points), UConn (69) and Memphis (68).
-UC is 53-9 (.855) in nonconference home games during the Mick Cronin coaching era. The Bearcats have won 40 of their last 44 non-league home games.
