The University of Cincinnati men’s basketball team concludes action in the Global Sports Shootout when it plays host to Campbell on Wednesday at Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats improved to 3-0 on Saturday with a 77-49 home win over Appalachian State. Five Bearcats reached double figures in scoring led by 13 points from both Titus Rubles and Troy Caupain. Rubles connected on 6-of-10 shooting from the field to go with seven rebounds, two blocks and two assists. Caupain put up his season-high numbers in points, was 5 of 6 from the field and handed out four assists. Sean Kilpatrick (12 points), Shaquille Thomas (10) and Jermaine Sanders (10) also reached double figures in scoring.
Campbell (2-2) is coming off a 62-43 home setback to NC Central on Monday. The Camels made seven first-half three-pointers and led 34-30 at halftime, but were outscored 32-9 in the second stanza. Andrew Ryan led Campbell with 11 points, 10 rebounds and a pair of three-pointers.
The Bearcats and Camels met for the first time in series history one year ago today with UC earning a 91-72 victory. Former Bearcat Cashmere Wright netted 28 points on 8-of-14 shooting with four three-pointers.
UC continues its seven-game homestand to start the 2013-14 season on Tuesday, Nov. 26, when it welcomes UMass Lowell for a 7 p.m. contest.

-Senior guard Sean Kilpatrick moved into 13th place on the UC all-time scoring list at 1,499 points with 12 points against Appalachian State on Saturday. He has scored in double figures in 36 of the last 39 games dating back to an 18-point effort against Florida State in the third round of the 2012 NCAA tournament. He has scored 10 or more points 80 times during his UC career.
-Kilpatrick was named to the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 list on Nov. 12.
-Senior forward Titus Rubles was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after averaging 13.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in wins over NC State and Appalachian State last week. Rubles has scored in double figures in each of the last four games dating back to UC’s NCAA tournament game against Creighton last season. It’s his longest stretch of consecutive double-figure scoring games. He currently ranks second on the squad in scoring (13.3 ppg) and leads UC in rebounding (7.3 rpg).
-The Bearcats recorded nine blocks against NC State on Nov. 12 and eight against Appalachian State on Saturday. Averaging 7.0 blocks as a team this season, UC is on pace for 217 rejections - nine more than last year (208 in 2012-13, third-most in school history).
-UC’s contest with Campbell is one of only three Wednesday contests this season for the Bearcats along with SMU (Jan. 1) and at UCF (Feb. 19). UC has won 19 of its last 21 games on Hump Day dating back to the 2010-11 season (losses at Providence [54-50 on 2/6/12] and vs. Notre Dame [66-58 on 1/19/11]).
-The Bearcats are 35-7 (.833) in November during the Mick Cronin coaching era, having won 10 in a row since a 73-69 overtime loss to Marshall on Nov. 25, 2011.
-UC is 42-4 in the last 46 nonconference regular-season home games.
