Cincinnati Game Notes
The University of Cincinnati (2-1) plays host to Northwestern State (2-2) on Monday at Fifth Third Arena. The game starts at 7 p.m. and will be televised on FOX Sports Ohio.
The Bearcats are coming off a 56-54 home loss to Presbyterian on Saturday while the Demons suffered an 83-61 loss at Marshall on Saturday. UC and Northwestern State have played once before with the Bearcats earning an 81-65 victory at Fifth Third Arena on Dec. 18, 2004. UC is 4-0 all-time against current teams from the Southland Conference.
The Northwestern State game is the third of four contests the Bearcats will participate in as part of the Global Sports Challenge this season. The NCAA-exempt event includes UC home contests with Alabama State (Nov. 13), Jacksonville State (Nov. 15), Northwestern State (Nov. 21) and Marshall (Nov. 25).

-Cincinnati saw its 20-game regular-season home nonconference win streak snapped Saturday in its 56-54 loss to Presbyterian. It was the first such setback since a 76-66 loss to Xavier (12/13/08).
-Yancy Gates scored 17 points against Presbyterian to move into 28th place on the UC all-time scoring list with 1,147 points.
-The Bearcats have registered 25 blocks through three games this season (8.3 per game). Justin Jackson leads all UC players with eight rejections.
