Cincinnati Game Notes
The University of Cincinnati (5-2) plays at No. 8/8 Xavier (7-0) on Saturday in the annual Skyline Chili's Crosstown Shootout. The contest starts at 12:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by ESPN2.
The Bearcats are coming off a 57-51 come-from-behind win at Georgia on Dec. 2. Sean Kilpatrick (game-high 22 points) and Dion Dixon (19 points) combined for 31 of UC's 36 second-half points as the Bearcats overcame a 12-point first-half deficit to earn the victory in the 2011 BIG EAST-SEC Challenge match-up.
Xavier posted a 73-61 win at Butler on Wednesday. Tu Holloway and Mark Lyons scored 16 points each for the Musketeers.
Cincinnati leads the all-time series with Xavier 48-30, including last season's 66-46 win at Fifth Third Arena. Xavier is 4-1 against the Bearcats at Cintas Center.
Saturday's contest is the second of three consecutive road games for UC. The Bearcats play at Wright State on Dec. 14 before returning home to face Radford on Dec. 17.

-Cincinnati has won its last five road games dating back to last season (Georgia this season and DePaul, Providence, Georgetown and Marquette in 2010-11). The Bearcats recorded an 8-4 record on the road last season with a team deep with veterans. The eight road wins were the most by any team in the BIG EAST.
-Cincinnati led the BIG EAST Conference, allowing 59.6 points per game last season. The Bearcats are allowing 52.7 points through seven games in 2011-12.
-In NCAA rankings (games through 12/4) UC ranks nationally in scoring defense (sixth at 52.7 ppg), blocked shots (23rd at 5.9 bpg), fi eld goal percentage defense (32nd at 27.4 percent) and three-point field goal percentage defense (43rd at 27.8 percent).
-The Bearcats have held 11 of their last 12 nonconference regular-season opponents under 60 points with the lone exception being Marshall (11/25/11) in a 73-69 overtime home loss.
-Sean Kilpatrick leads all Bearcats, averaging 15.0 points this season. He scored a season-high 22 points in UC’s 57-51 win at Georgia (12/3) and has scored in double figures in six of seven games.
