Cincinnati Game Notes

The University of Cincinnati (5-3) wraps up its three-game road trip on Wednesday when it travels to Dayton to play Wright State (4-6). The contest starts at 7 p.m. ET and will be televised by ESPN2.

In their two previous road games, the Bearcats suffered a 76-53 setback at Xavier on Saturday after winning a 57-51 decision at Georgia as part of the BIG EAST-SEC Challenge on Dec. 2.

The Bearcats have won all seven meetings with Wright State in series history. Wednesday's game is the first in the series played outside Cincinnati.

UC will be without four players on Wednesday who are currently serving suspensions for their involvement in a fight with nine seconds left in the Xavier game on Saturday. Senior forward Yancy Gates, junior-transfer center Cheikh Mbodj and freshman forward Octavius Ellis will sit out six games while freshman guard Ge'Lawn Guyn will miss one contest.

UC returns home to face Radford on Dec. 17 at 2 p.m.

-In NCAA rankings (games through 12/11), Cincinnati ranks nationally in scoring defense (13th at 55.6 ppg), blocked shots (35th at 5.4 bpg), and three-point field goal percentage defense (46th at 28.7 percent).
-The Bearcats have held 11 of their last 13 nonconference regular-season opponents under 60 points with the exceptions being Marshall (a 73-69 overtime home loss on 11/25) and Xavier (a 76-53 road setback on 12/10).
