Blake Reid joined the University of Cincinnati staff in the summer of 2013 as the director of athletic equipment, working directly with the Bearcats' football team.
Reid handles all day-to-day aspects of the football program's equipment needs, including purchasing, maintenance, organization, as well as coordination of the 12-member student assistant program.
Reid came to UC after serving as an assistant equipment manager for the Army Athletic Association from 2007-13. His primary focus was on the day-to-day operations of the Army's football team. In addition, he served as the head men's and women's basketball equipment manager, placing him in charge of the budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and issuance of all team-issued apparel.
Reid graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Kinesiology. During his time at Iowa State, he had the opportunity to be part of the football team in a student manager role.
Reid has also served as a volunteer equipment manager for the 2008 East-West All Star college football game.
He was also heavily involved in the creation of the 2008, 2011 and 2012 Army-Navy Pro Combat uniforms as well as the Black Knights' men's basketball vintage uniforms and women's basketball's "Pink Zone" uniforms.
Reid is a native of Onslow, Iowa, and lives in Cincinnati.
