Reid facilitates all aspects of the Under Armour apparel contract including negotiation, contract language, fulfillment, ordering, budgeting, marketing, issuance and facility graphics. He is also involved in all branding and licensing aspects for the Bearcats.
He oversees six full-time staff members along with a student staff of more than 15 throughout the year. He also controls inventory management and works for day-to-day operations of 19 athletic programs.
Reid came to UC after serving as an assistant equipment manager for the Army Athletic Association from 2007-13. His primary focus was on the day-to-day operations of the Army's football team. In addition, he served as the head men's and women's basketball equipment manager, placing him in charge of the budgeting, purchasing, inventory and issuance of all team-issued apparel.
Reid graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Kinesiology. During his time at Iowa State, he had the opportunity to be part of the football team in a student manager role.
Reid has also served as a volunteer equipment manager for the 2008 East-West All Star college football game.
He was also heavily involved in the creation of the 2008, 2011 and 2012 Army-Navy Pro Combat uniforms as well as the Black Knights' men's basketball vintage uniforms and women's basketball's "Pink Zone" uniforms.
Reid is a native of Onslow, Iowa, and lives in Cincinnati.
