2002: Redshirted as a defensive back...was expected to see playing time until suffering a hip injury which sidelined him for the first month of the season...made the travel team for the New Orleans Bowl.
High School: Second team all-state choice by the Associated Press as a senior at Northland High, playing for coach Jim Miranda...two-way starter, compiling 628 all-purpose yards on offense and 24 tackles and eight pass breakups on defense...first team all-city and all-district choice...special mention all-city honoree as a junior, making 39 tackles with six interceptions and 350 return yards...competed in three events in track, owning personal bests of 10.5 in the 100 meters, 21.6 in the 200 meters and 48.6 in the 400 meters...anchored the 400 meter relay team for Ohio that won the title at the Midwest Meet of Champions...finished third in the 100 meters and fourth in the 200 at the state championships as a senior...also lettered in basketball.
