Received the team's Kodak Defensive Player of the Year award as the top player on the defensive scout team. . . redshirted while gaining experience on the defensive line.

Second team all-state honoree as a senior at Brookhaven High, playing for coach Greg Miller. . . named first team all-city and all-district after helping team to an 11-2 record as a senior, winning the league and district titles. . . garnered team and district defensive MVP accolades as a senior. . . named to the district and league teams while helping team to a 10-2 mark as a junior.
