Jesse Smith joined the UC staff in 2013 as an offensive quality control assistant.

Smith assists the offense staff in all facets of the program's day-to-day operation, including practice planning and management, working with the defensive scout team, and assisting with the tight ends.

In 2013, he was part of a staff that produced the most prolific offensive unit in Cincinnati history. The Bearcats set the school record with 6,137 yards of total offense and led the American Athletic Conference averaging 472.1 yards per game. TE Blake Annen was a First-Team All-American Athletic Conference choice.

He started his coaching career at Tennessee in 2012, working with current UC assistants Darin Hinshaw and Blake Rolan.

Smith earned a bachelor's degree in sport administration with a minor in business administration from Radford University in 2011.

The Reston, Va. native is one of eight children and his brother Elijah is a student assistant at James Madison.
