2006: First team All-BIG EAST selection...team co-captain...a veteran safety who has made improvements in every season to become a premiere performer...team leader with four interceptions...second on the team in tackling (57)...intercepted a pass inside the UC 10 to stop a USF scoring drive...made a season-high 10 tackles vs. No. 7 Louisville...had eight tackles vs. No. 1 Ohio State...one of the hardest workers on the team...presented UC's Jim Kelly Coaches Spirit Award for his leadership.

2005: Was a major contributor on defense and to several special teams with his consistent play...team's fifth-leading tackler and co-leader in interceptions...recipient of the Jim Kelly Coaches Spirit award...started 10 of the 11 games at strong safety...in his only non-start, came off the bench to record a pair of fourth quarter interceptions, one stopping a scoring threat on the 2-yard line, to preserve the 7-3 win over Western Carolina...earned BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll recognition for that performance...posted a career-high 13 tackles the following game vs. Miami (Ohio)...had an eight-tackle performance vs. Pittsburgh and had seven tackles in three other contests...named to the BIG EAST Conference All-Academic Football Team...earned his third letter.

2004: Became a mainstay on the defense in his first season as a regular at free safety...started eight games at the position...ninth on the team in tackles (37)...had a pair of 7-tackle performances vs. Miami (Ohio) and Army...had six tackles vs. Syracuse and a fumble recovery which he returned 32 yards...started eight of the 12 games and played extensively in all others...moved from linebacker to free safety and made an impact with his all-around athletic ability.

2003: Saw action in all 12 games, playing on several kicking teams and serving as a backup at OLB...had five tackles.

2002: Participated in preseason drills, then withheld his enrollment until Winter term.

High School: First team all-conference choice as a senior at Marion Harding High, playing for coach Tim Hinton, now a UC assistant coach...made 91 tackles, including 38 solo, as a senior with six interceptions, three caused fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a pair of sacks...led the team with 22 catches for 353 yards...second team all-region choice and was selected the team's player of the game three times...honorable mention all-league pick as a junior after helping team to a 10-3 record and the third round of the state playoffs...averaged 10.4 points in basketball and led the district with better than 12 rebounds a game.

Personal: Born Sept. 20, 1984 in Marion, Ohio...son of Albert and Shauna Walker..has two older brothers...brother Derick was a four-year regular for the Bearcats at wide receiver, concluding his career last year.
