Ryan Pugh joined the University of Cincinnati staff in 2014 as an offensive graduate assistant.
Pugh will assist the offense staff in all facets of the program's day-to-day operation, including practice planning and management, working with the defensive scout team, and assisting with the offensive line.
He came to UC after spending the 2013 as an offensive graduate assistant at Virginia Tech, working with the offensive line. He held the same role at Auburn in 2012.
Before getting into the coaching ranks, Pugh was a standout offensive lineman at Auburn, starting 45 games at center for 2007-10. He was a Rimington Award finalist, Lowe's Senior Class Award Finalist and Associated Press Third-Team All-American as a senior in 2010 on the Tigers' National Championship squad. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers the following spring before starting his coaching career.
The Birmingham, Ala. native prepped at the powerhouse Hoover HS, playing center and offensive tackle. He was a captain for the east squad in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, playing every snap in the game.
He earned his bachelor's degree in building science from Auburn in 2012. Pugh and his wife Cathey Lee, live in Cincinnati.
