Head Coach Brian Kelly
"We played well enough to win and I thought Marshall came in here and played inspired football. In the second half we were able to build a little more consistency. I look at the real positives: #1 Largest crowd in the history of UC. #2 I think it's the first time we have been 4-0 since the 50's. #3 We didn't play our very best and we won 40-14."
On senior quarterback Ben Mauk's arm:
"It's a minute to minute situation. He looked pretty good at times. He made some great throws. Then he gets a little discomfort in there. It's really out of my hands right now."
On junior quarterback Dustin Grutza
"I thought he did a great job coming back off the bench after we put Mauk in. Dustin really showed some great things to me when he came back. He showed some real maturity."
"I'm not sure the quarterback situation is my biggest concern right now. We have to clean up the offense, we have to get balanced safety play. Haruki's (Nakamuri) played well for us but we have to get all our safety's to play at a higher level."
Marshall Head Coach Mark Snyder
"You have to give credit to UC. They have an outstanding football team and it showed today."
"I was disappointed in our execution and penalties. You cannot make the mental mistakes we made today and beat a good football team on the road. That all comes back to coaching and focus. I was very unhappy with what I saw out there tonight."
