Former Football Players And Coaches Meet In Super Bowl XLIII Sunday

CINCINNATI - Two former University of Cincinnati football players and three former assistant coaches will be among the participants in Super Bowl XLIII Sunday in Tampa, Fla.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was a UC assistant coaching defensive backs from 1999-2000. On his staff, assistant special teams coach Amos Jones (1999-2002) and offensive line coach Larry Zierlein (1997-2000) coached for the Bearcats. Former longtime Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson is also on the Steelers' staff.

Linebacker Andre Fraizer (2001-04) played in 16 games this season for Pittsburgh, recording 12 tackles and a sack.

Arizona Cardinals linebackers coach Bill Davis was a four-year letterwinner for UC at quarterback and wide receiver from 1985-88 who is in his 17th season as an NFL assistant.

Former UC linebacker Tyjuan Hagler was part of the 2007 Indianapolis Colts squad that beat Chicago, 29-17, Super Bowl XLI in Miami Gardens, Fla.
