CINCINNATI-The University of Cincinnati hosted its annual Pro Day for seniors eligible for the 2008 National Football League Draft on Wednesday, March 12. Scouts from around the NFL came to UC's Varsity Village to put UC's top professional prospects through the paces.
Highlighting the strength numbers, running back Bradley Glatthaar and offensive lineman Ken Rodriguez shared top honors in the bench press with each man notching 26 repetitions of 225 pounds. Receiver Earnest Jackson lifted the required weight 24 times and running back Butler Benton notched 23 presses of 225 pounds.
Jackson posted the top vertical leap, at 40.5 inches. The Southfield, Mich. native was also the top performer in the broad jump, with a leap of 10-feet, 8-inches. Although scouts' clocks varied, Jackson was sighted at 4.45 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Defensive back Haruki Nakamura was second with an unofficial time of 4.5 seconds.
