Youth Football Mini-Camp One Of Many Events Surrounding Bearcat Bowl VI|

CINCINNATI - Head Coach Butch Jones and the University of Cincinnati football team will play host to a Youth Football Mini Camp from 12-2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 14 one of many events surrounding Bearcat Bowl VI and Fan Fest.
The free youth mini-camp is for players up to eighth grade from 12:30-2 p.m. on the Bearcats home turf in historic Nippert Stadium. The clinic will be led by Jones, his staff and selected student-athletes.
"We are very excited for another chance to host what has become a tremendous event," Jones said. "Our players, coaches and staff are looking forward to spending the afternoon teaching football the Bearcats way. This is a great opportunity to engage the local community and give back to the people who have given us so much."
Registration for the mini-camp begins at 11:30 a.m. under the overhang in the north end zone at field level.
Following the mini-camp, football student-athletes will be on hand to sign autographs inside the Fan Fest on Sheakley Lawn.
The mini-camp is not the only thing going on that Saturday as events will take place on Sheakley Lawn and inside Nippert Stadium from 12:30-5:30 p.m.
Bearcat Bowl VI presented by Fifth Third Bank, the annual spring football game, featuring the 2011 BIG EAST Conference and AutoZone Liberty Bowl Champions, will kick off at 4 p.m. with a fan-friendly and competitive preview of the 2012 UC squad set to take place.
The Bearcats Fan Zone will be open from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Sheakley Lawn, featuring activities for Bearcats fans young and old. The Victory Plaza Stage will feature live music throughout the event and football student-athletes will sign autographs for fans from 2:15-2:45 p.m. Other featured events include a dunk tank, inflatable games, cornhole, a Bearcats Kids Club coloring contest, face painting and an opportunity to meet Bearcat and the cheerleaders. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
UC will also hold the Bearcat Gear Super Sale, a public sale of new and vintage equipment, uniforms and apparel.
