The University of Cincinnati football team will hold an open practice for its fans on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Sheakley Athletics Center.
The event is free and open to all fans.
The practice is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. until noon at Sheakley, a $15-million facility that opened on Aug. 28, 2012. It serves as home to the Bearcats lacrosse team for competition, the football team for practice and - when the bubble is in place - serves as an indoor practice venue for all UC programs during the winter months.
Fans attending the practice should enter the facility through the gates adjacent to Marge Schott Stadium. Cash parking will be available in all campus garages and concessions stands will be open.
Following the workout, selected UC players and coaches will hold a free clinic on the field for youth football players up to the eighth grade. Clinic registration starts at 11:30 a.m. on the north end zone drive with the clinic starting at 12:30 p.m. Following the end of the clinic at 2:15 p.m., UC student-athletes will hold an autograph session for clinic participants on the field.
UC is working through 15 NCAA allotted spring practices under head coach Tommy Tuberville. Tuberville took the reins of the program in December and is entering his 18th season as a collegiate head coach. UC is coming off a 10-3 campaign in 2012 with the Bearcats earning their fourth BIG EAST Conference title in five seasons and a come-from-behind win over Duke in the 2012 Belk Bowl.
