CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team wrapped up a busy weekend Saturday, playing host a large group of UC faculty and staff, families, while also throwing in a two hour practice inside Nippert Stadium.

Under cloudy, chilly skies, the Bearcats took part in individual and special teams work before moving into situational scrimmage drills for the remainder of practice.

Some of the highlights included a long pass from QB Munchie Legaux to WR Kenbrell Thompkins, QB Brendon Kay connecting with WR Chris Moore on a pair of highlight reel catches and WR Danny Milligan hauling in a one-hander in traffic from Legaux on the final series of the day.

The morning started with Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day. Over 100 members of the faculty and staff, invited by UC student-athletes, were on hand to have breakfast with the coaching staff and participate in a short program put on by the football student-athletes and academic staff, tour the athletics facilities, take a photo with the team and sit in the stands for practice.

The players and coaches families were also invited to watch practice and take part in a team lunch at the Myers Alumni Center following practice.

The Bearcats will return to the field Tuesday with seven practices remaining in the spring session.
