CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati Football Head Coach Tommy Tuberville and UCATS recently welcomed a packed house of donors to the Holy Grail for an event on the morning of April 5, 2014, prior to the Bearcats spring game at Paul Brown Stadium.

Host Dan Hoard, the voice of the Bearcats, welcomed the assembled crowd before sharing the stage with UC Director of Athletics Mike Bohn, Coach Tuberville and featured speaker Dr. Angelo Colosimo, the Bearcats’ Director of Orthopedic Services. Colosimo spoke about his time as a student-athlete at Colgate, his stint as a running back with the New England Patriots and shared some stories from the last 25 years spent as UC’s team orthopedic surgeon.

“It was a great event,” Tuberville said. “It’s always good to see the passion and excitement that surrounds our football program on display. It turned out to be a great day with awesome weather as we brought our spring season to a successful close.”

The 1200 Club was founded by loyal supporters who are committed to boosting UC’s football program to compete at the highest level, and who are personally invested in UC’s commitment to achieve excellence through our facilities, services, and student-athletes.

Last year alone, the 1200 Club funded a new weight room floor, which benefits all 19 Varsity Programs; strength and conditioning equipment; and crucial high definition upgrades to the video equipment.

Funds raised in 2014 will continue to focus on the student-athlete experience and will also assist with recruiting.

Members enjoy behind-the-scenes access to practices, special football-only events and email updates among many other benefits.

“Our 1200 Club members are truly the team behind the team,” Tuberville said. “Their support is critical and appreciated. We would like to see this thing keep growing so if you have any interest in joining and supporting our football program, we would be glad to have you.”
