2007 Home Opponents

  • Southeast Missouri State (Aug. 30): The fifth oldest college football program in the country, UC opens its 120th season in school history by hosting Southeast Missouri State...the Bearcats open the season at home for the third consecutive year...UC is 2-0 all-time against members of the Ohio Valley Conference.
  • Oregon State (Sept. 6): The Bearcats and Beavers matchup kicks off ESPN's Thursday night college football coverage...Oregon State is one of three opponents facing the Bearcats for the first time...Pac-10 program is coming off a win in the Sun Bowl.
  • Marshall (Sept. 22):  Cincinnati and Marshall tangle for the first time since UC's victory in the 2004 Fort Worth Bowl...the Thundering Herd is one of the preseason favorites contending for the Conference USA crown...UC owns a 6-3-1 all-time mark against Marshall.
  • Louisville (Oct. 15): The winner of the UC and UofL game claims the Keg of Nails...Cincinnati narrowly missed tasting victory, falling 23-17 at Cardinal Stadium in 2006...Louisville finished the year with a record of 12-1, including a 24-13 triumph in the FedEx Orange Bowl.
  • Connecticut (Nov. 10): The Bearcats have defeated the Huskies in each of the past two meetings...last season UC scored the final 10 points of the game to come from behind for a 26-23 victory in East Hartford.
  • West Virginia (Nov. 17): The Mountaineers finished 11-2 last season, including a 38-35 victory over Georgia Tech in the Toyota Gator Bowl...West Virginia returns the backfield duo of Patrick White and Steve Slaton.
