CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati football head coach Tommy Tuberville and four student-athletes will represent the Bearcats at American Athletic Conference Summer Kickoff & Media Day, set to take place on July 30 at the Hotel Viking in Newport, R.I.

Greg Blair (Pittsburgh, Pa./Schenley/Lackawanna CC), Austen Bujnoch (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder), Brendon Kay (Marine City, Mich./Marine City) and Jordan Stepp (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) will represent UC's 2013 team in Newport.

Coaches and players from all 10 American schools will be a part of the festivities at the Hotel Viking and fans will be able to follow all of the day's events through a broad range of digital coverage.
 
The centerpiece of the conference's coverage will be a live, three-hour program featuring in-depth analysis and interviews with coaches and players. In addition, a live video feed of Commissioner Mike Aresco's opening remarks at 9 a.m. ET and each coach's question-and-answer session at the podium will be available on ESPN3.   
 
The show is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. ET and will be hosted by John Rooke and Pete Brock. Also available on ESPN3, the program will feature one-on-one interviews with each of the league's 10 head coaches and select players. Rooke is a veteran play-by-play broadcaster with experience on ESPN networks and IMG Radio. Brock is a former New England Patriot who and color commentator on the IMG Radio Network.

The official Twitter hashtag for event will be #AmericanKickoff.  Fans can use that hashtag to submit questions to be asked of head coaches during the live show.


 

 

Coach Tuberville will appear on the live broadcast from 10:30-10:50 a.m. at the podium taking questions from the media and from 10:50-11:10 on the live show.

Before media day takes place, the American will hold a traditional clambake for all of the programs, television partners and bowl officials at the Eisenhower House inside Fort Adams State Park on Monday night.
