WEST HARRISON, Ind. – The University of Cincinnati football team donned full pads for the first time this fall, working out for a little over two hours at the Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center in West Harrison, Ind.

The high intensity of practice continued Friday as did the heat. Temperatures on the turf were around the 120 degree mark once again. Along with UC’s newcomers, head coach Butch Jones is making his first trip to Higher Ground. Count the UC boss as one who’s impressed with the Bearcats’ off-campus home.

“The food is incredible,” Jones said. The people here do an unbelievable job and our kids love coming here. I’m really excited about being here.”
