CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati and its media partner FOX Sports Ohio are gearing up for another season of UC football on the network, opening up the 2010 schedule with Inside Bearcats Football 2010. The 30-minute preview show will debut on FOX Sports Ohio August 29 at 4 p.m. and look at the Bearcats program as it prepares for the 2010 season.

Taped at the Bearcats' preseason home at the Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center in West Harrison, Ind., the show features in-depth interviews with head coach Butch Jones and seven UC student-athletes who look ahead to the 2010 season.

In addition to Jones, the program will hear from quarterback Zach Collaros, wide receiver Armon Binns, offensive lineman Jason Kelce, linebacker JK Schaffer, linebacker Walter Stewart, defensive tackle John Hughes, and safety Drew Frey.

This special preview is hosted by Tom Gelehrter, who will also host Bearcats Sports Weekly with Butch Jones & Mick Cronin on FOX Sports Ohio for the third straight season. Gelehrter is UC's director of new media and broadcasting and a 2002 graduate of Syracuse University. He has worked for the past 10 years as a college sports broadcaster at Cincinnati, the University of Akron and Syracuse. A Cleveland native, Gelehrter serves as sideline reporter for UC football broadcasts on 700-WLW and is the play-by-play voice for women's basketball. This season Gelehrter will also take over co-hosting duties on Cincinnati's weekly coaches' radio shows.

Inside Bearcats Football 2010 on FOX Sports Ohio will air a total of six times on the following dates and times:

    Thursday, Sept. 2, 10 p.m.
    Friday, Sept. 3, 3 p.m.

The Bearcats open the 2010 season on Saturday, Sept. 4 at Fresno State. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
