Athletics Announces Bearcats At The Banks Pregame Festival
Sept. 3, 2014

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics will create a pregame festival-type atmosphere downtown on college football gamedays with a new event branded Bearcats at the Banks.

UC will play all six of its home contests at Paul Brown Stadium in 2014 due to the $86-million Nippert Stadium Renovation & Expansion Project currently underway on campus.

Bearcats at the Banks is a free event, located adjacent to the Holy Grail on Freedom Way between Joe Nuxhall Way and Walnut Street. It is open to all fans and students starting three hours prior to kick off at Paul Brown Stadium. The event will conclude 30 minutes prior to kickoff to enable fans to be in their seats for the start of each game.

"We are excited about playing downtown in the home of the Cincinnati Bengals and creating the Bearcats at the Banks zone on college football gamedays," Director of Athletics Mike Bohn said. "We are most appreciative of the outpouring of partnerships from the Bengals to the Holy Grail, the City of Cincinnati and many others. Combining enthusiastic alumni, students, donors and fans in one dynamic area will be enjoyable for all Bearcats fans."

Fans will have access to all the restaurants and businesses along the Banks. A DJ, beverage vendors, games and activities for all are scheduled to occur. Convenient parking is available underneath the Banks in the Central Riverfront Garage. Paul Brown Stadium is just a short walk away.

"This is such an exciting opportunity to be able to partner with athletics on this initiative," UC Student Body President Christina Beer said. "There have been some instrumental efforts from RallyCats, Student Government and the Bearcats Bands to bring all these groups together. It's a great chance for the entire Bearcats community to come together to make this a great setting for all fans. Hopefully our entire student body takes advantage of this fantastic event."

More plans for this exciting pregame event will be announced as they become available.

UC will open up the season against Toledo on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. ET inside Paul Brown Stadium. Season tickets for UC's six-game home slate at PBS are on sale now, starting at $99 or $16.50 per game. For more information, visit
