UC Issues Parking Advisory For Football Game Thursday Night
University of Cincinnati football fans attending the season opening game against BIG EAST Conference rival Pittsburgh on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 at 8 p.m. ET are encouraged to arrive on campus early to limit potential traffic delays in getting to historic Nippert Stadium.

Due to the semester conversion, classes are already in session and Thursday is a heavily scheduled class night. Parking garages on campus will be staffed starting at 4 p.m. ET, four hours before gametime.

Patrons should be advised there is ongoing construction in areas surrounding UC's campus on Calhoun and McMillan. Delays are possible in those areas.

For season parking pass holders in Corry, Calhoun, CCM, Varsity Village, Stratford, University and Campus Green Garages, please be aware that students also occupy these garages on class nights. Should your assigned garage be full upon arrival, you will be directed by UC Parking Services Staff to any of the remaining pass-holder garages with spaces available.

In order to assist fans coming to the game, UC Parking Services staff will remain in place until 8:30 p.m.

For patrons who do not have parking passes, cash parking is available for $15 on a first come first served basis in Campus Green, Woodside, Clifton Court and Eden Garages. These spaces tend to fill quickly on game nights due to student permit holders also using the garage. There are shuttles that run frequently from Eden Garage (under the bridge) to University Avenue Garage.

Since this game is being held on a Thursday when evening classes are in session to sensitive of the students attending those classes, there will be a special parking rate of $7 for students with a current UC ID in Woodside, Clifton Court and Stratford Garages.

Those drivers entering campus at Corry Blvd. and Jefferson Ave. should have their parking passes displayed for the traffic control officers. Non-pass holders will have a sticker placed on their car by the officers that will allow them to take the left exit onto Dennis.

Patrons with disabilities should contact the UC Athletics Ticket Office at 1-877-CATS-TIX so that their needs may be attended to effectively. Handicap accessible cash parking is available in the CCM garage at the end of Corry Blvd. A state-issued handicap pass or license plate is required.

For fan convenience, giving priority to fans with special needs, a golf cart service will be provided to assist fans to Nippert Stadium. Carts will be located near parking garages and heavy traffic areas. These golf carts will be accessible approximately two hours prior to kickoff and will also be available for 30 minutes following the conclusion of the game.
