CINCINNATI - The NFL kicked off its regular season this past weekend. Fourteen former Bearcats student-athletes were on opening day rosters, including five that appeared in their first career NFL regular season game.
Wide receiver Armon Binns (2007-10), who had been signed to the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad late last season, made his first career start with the Bengals. Binns recorded his first career reception as well as totaling four receptions for 28 yards in a 44-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
First-year players and 2012 NFL Draft selections Derek Wolfe (2008-11), Isaiah Pead (2008-11), John Hughes (2008-11) and Adrien Robinson (2008-11) also made their first appearance in an NFL regular season contest.
