Bearcats in the NFL: Week 1

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati currently boasts 15 former student-athletes on NFL rosters. Here's how each former Bearcat performed in week two of the 2012 NFL regular season.

OLB Connor Barwin (Houston Texans) 9/16/12 at Jacksonville Jaguars – Started again at weak-side linebacker and recorded one tackle in a 27-7 win.

WR Armon Binns (Cincinnati Bengals) 9/16/12 vs. Cleveland Browns – Earned another start and caught five balls for 66 yards in a 34-27 win.

TE Brent Celek (Philadelphia Eagles) 9/16/12 vs. Baltimore Ravens - Started again at tight and recorded eight catches for a career-high 157 yards, with a long of 28 yards, in a 24-23 win.

DE Trent Cole (Philadelphia Eagles) 9/16/12 vs. Baltimore Ravens – Started at defensive end and registered one sack and one forced fumble in a 24-23 win.

WR Mardy Gilyard (Philadelphia Eagles) 9/16/12 vs. Baltimore Ravens – After recently being re-signed by the Eagles this past week, Gilyard tallied one special teams tackle in a 24-23 win.

P Kevin Huber (Cincinnati Bengals) 9/16/12 vs. Cleveland Browns – Punted three times for 126 yards, with a 42-yard average and a net average of 39 yards, and pinned all three punts inside the 20-yard line in a 34-27 win.

DT John Hughes (Cleveland Browns) 9/16/12 at Cincinnati Bengals – Tallied six tackles, including his first career sack, in a 34-27 loss.

C Jason Kelce (Philadelphia Eagles) 9/16/12 vs. Baltimore Ravens – Started again at center but left the game with an injury early in the third quarter in a 24-23 win. Kelce has since been placed on injured reserve with a right knee injury.

T Jeff Linkenbach (Indianapolis Colts) 9/16/12 vs. Minnesota Vikings – Gained his first start of the season at right tackle in a 23-20 win.

DT Ricardo Mathews (Indianapolis Colts) 9/16/12 vs. Minnesota Vikings – Saw action in a 23-20 win.

S Haruki Nakamura (Carolina Panthers) 9/16/12 vs. New Orleans Saints – Started again at free safety and totaled five tackles in a 35-27 win.

RB Isaiah Pead (St. Louis Rams) 9/16/12 vs. Washington Redskins – Gained his first career start and returned one kick for 12 yards and had one special teams tackles in a 31-28 win.

TE Adrien Robinson (New York Giants) 9/16/12 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Was inactive in a 41-34 win.

LS Mike Windt (San Diego Chargers) 9/16/12 vs. Tennessee Titans – Once again handled the Chargers’ long snapping duties and recorded one special teams tackle in a 38-10 win.

DL Derek Wolfe (Denver Broncos) 9/17/12 at Atlanta Falcons – Started again at defensive end in a 27-21 loss.
