CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics is announcing new policies for Nippert Stadium and the allotment of 6,000 student seats per game.  All new policies are effective immediately.

Public sales to the games against both Louisville and West Virginia are SOLD OUT.  A limited number of tickets are available to the Connecticut game on Nov. 10, 2007.  To purchase tickets please log on to www.CATSTIX.com.

"Students are the life-blood of a fan base because they will be fans for life," says Director of Athletics Mike Thomas.  "We need to make these adjustments to ensure that all students who come to Nippert Stadium can be accommodated in a safe manner. All of us who were at the game against Marshall had goose bumps when they were doing the DOWN THE DRIVE cheer - which is a great UC tradition.  I cannot wait to see what they will come up with for the rest of the season."

UC Student Body President James Radley echoes those sentiments.

"We appreciate UC Athletics working with our student government to maximize the opportunities for students to enjoy UC Football, in a safe and enthusiastic environment.  Our student turnout for the Marshall game was outstanding and we look forward to being a part of the Bearcats success with all sports throughout the year."

Starting on Wednesday, Oct. 3, students with a valid UC Student ID will have the opportunity to pick up one of the 4,000 student advance tickets for the next home game, which will be Saturday, Oct. 13 vs. Louisville with future distribution dates scheduled on Oct. 24 for Connecticut and Nov. 7 for West Virginia.

Additionally, 1,000 tickets will be distributed online at www.CATSTIX.com beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3.  Again, only one (1) ticket per UC Student ID will be distributed.

All students without an advance ticket must enter Nippert Stadium through a newly created STUDENT-ONLY entrance located at Gate No. 3, in the southeast corner of the facility.  This gate is adjacent to the lower east side of Dieterle Hall and Varsity Village.

Once a total of 500 game day student admissions is reached via the dedicated turnstiles for student admission at Gate No. 3, the student section will reach capacity and no additional students will be admitted without a reserved or general admission ticket.  Admission will be given to these students via turnstile only - no re-entry.  This gate will open 90 minutes prior to kick-off.

Any remaining balance of student seats following the in-person and online dispersals will be held until the day of the game for admission at Gate No. 3 with a valid UC Student ID.

UC Students, or their guests, with an advance ticket may enter at any of the facility's six (6) gates.

Due to the demand for tickets, the number of student guest tickets will be limited to 500 for all remaining games this season, with a limit of two (2) tickets per UC Student ID.  These tickets are priced at $5 each and are available for advance purchase only.  If any student guest tickets remain unsold as of game day, that number of tickets will be added to the Gate No. 3 admission total.

Cincinnati State students will have an allotment of general admission tickets sent to their campus for the balance of the 2007 season.  These tickets will be distributed by Cincinnati State College beginning next week.

Kickoff times for all games are yet to be determined and are subject to the 12-day out selection process by the BIG EAST Conference and the ESPN family of networks.  There is also the possibility that some times will not be announced until six days prior to the date of the game.
