Fans are encouraged to wear black to the University of Cincinnati football team’s nationally-televised showdown with USF later this month as the Bearcats will look to "Blackout the Bulls" on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Nippert Stadium. The game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
In advance of the game, sponsored by Mike-Sell’s Potato Chip Company, Bearcats fans are encouraged to support their local UC retailers by purchasing game day merchandise.
"There is nothing like a night game in Nippert Stadium,” head coach Brian Kelly said. “Having 35,000 Bearcats fans in our house and dressed in black, will make a statement to the nation that UC football is a force."
UC’s Licensing Office has worked with the Department of Athletics to promote this event to local merchants. A limited edition BLACKOUT T-shirt is now on sale at the UC Bookstore.
Fans can also purchase the shirt by clicking HERE.
Several special pregame events are on tap for the USF game, including stops by the Seinfeld Campus Tour in Sigma Sigma Commons and the Allstate Tailgate Tour on University Drive.
The Seinfeld Campus Tour features a 60-foot bus full of Seinfeld memorabilia that is on a 10,000 mile trek to college campuses across the country. Included in the bus is a Seinfeld museum, video testimonial booth, interactive games, and videos featuring the Emmy Award-winning show.
The Allstate Tailgate Tour will be open from 4:30p.m. until 7 p.m. Along with free Bearcats shirts, you will be able to test your leg kicking field goals, visit the traveling College Football Legacy Museum and watch sports action from around the country under the Allstate Tent.
UC football will also stage a RING OF RED football game on Nov. 22 vs. Pittsburgh.
RING OF RED games are a long-time tradition for UC men's basketball. This season’s men’s basketball RING OF RED game will take place against Louisville on Saturday, Feb. 21.
