CINCINNATI - The BIG EAST Conference football matchup between the No. 4/7 University of Cincinnati and the University of Connecticut will kick off at 8 p.m. EDT on Saturday, Nov. 7 and will be televised by ABC at Nippert Stadium.
The telecast, ABC's first at Nippert Stadium in prime time, will be part of a three-way regional split along with USC-Arizona State and Oklahoma-Nebraska. Coverage maps will be released once they are made available.
ABC televised the UC-Tulsa contest on Oct. 29, 1966 on a regional basis.
This is the first BIG EAST game in prime time on ABC since a 2005 matchup between Notre Dame and Pittsburgh game and the first intra-conference game on ABC in prime since a 2003 contest between Miami and Pittsburgh.
Cincinnati (8-0, 4-0 BIG EAST) knocked off Syracuse 28-7 Saturday, and is off to the best start to a season for a UC team since the 1951 squad opened with a 9-0 mark. The Bearcats moved up a spot in this week's Associated Press poll, earning its highest ranking ever. UC moved up three spots in the Bowl Championship Series standings to No. 5, matching its best BCS ranking. The Bearcats remained static at No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches poll.
