Winn Named BIG EAST Football Offensive Player of the Week|

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati senior running back George Winn (Southfield, Mich./University of Detroit Jesuit) was named the BIG EAST Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending on Nov. 4, 2012, the league office announced Monday.
Winn rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns and added a 37-yard touchdown pass to TE Travis Kelce (Cleveland Hts., Ohio/Cleveland Hts.) to key Cincinnati's 35-24 win against Syracuse, moving the Bearcats into third place in the BIG EAST standings.
Three of Winn's four scoring plays gave Cincinnati the lead, while his 2-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter accounted for the final margin of victory.
Winn, who finished with 202 yards of total offense, enters this week's game against Temple as the BIG EAST rushing leader, averaging 112.1 yards per game.
The Bearcats (6-2, 2-1 BIG EAST) return to action on Saturday, traveling to Philadelphia face the Owls at noon Saturday in Lincoln Financial Field. The game will be televised by the BIG EAST Network (Local 12 WKRC in Cincinnati), is available online at WatchESPN.com and on 700-WLW AM.
