NEW ORLEANS - The University of Cincinnati football team practiced at the New Orleans Saints indoor facility on Day Four in New Orleans. Cincinnati had visits from former Bearcat Troy Evans, who plays for the Saints, as well as former NFL great Archie Manning.
The day began with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Players Breakfast. Coach William Inge, Ernest Jones and players CJ Cobb, Marcus Waugh, John Goebel, Kazeem Alli, Quentin Hines, Brad Jones, DJ Woods, Alex Daniels, Camerron Cheatham, and Chazz Anderson attended the breakfast. Anderson was given a standing ovation after his speaking role at the event.
Also in the morning was the offensive press conference. Passing Game Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach, Charley Molnar, spoke to the media prior to players Jeff Linkenbach, Chris Jurek, Jacob Ramsey, Tony Pike and Mardy Gilyard taking interviews from the media at the Marriott New Orleans Convention Center.
UC headed to the Saints facility in the afternoon and practiced for 75 minutes before Manning spoke to the team and signed a few autographs for players. Later in the evening Cincinnati had dinner at Zea Rotisserie Grill.
The Bearcats will play Florida in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. kickoff on Jan. 1 at the Louisiana Superdome.
