Assistant Coach

After serving as a volunteer coach during the 2012-2013 season, Andrew Stephens was hired as the assistant coach for the University of Cincinnati men's golf program in August 2013.

Stephens' duties include assisting with practices, recruiting, evaluating players, club fitting, and helping with on-course education during tournaments.

A Hank Haney Pro Certified Instructor, Stephens has played on the National Golf Association Professional Tour since 2007, winning five professional tournaments. He is a four-time U.S. Open local qualifier and was the low professional at the 2008 Kentucky Open. He has worked three years in golf retail while playing professionally.

Stephens graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2007. He was a member of the 2005 Wildcats' squad that won the Southeastern Conference Championship. A five-time Academic All-SEC honoree, Stephens was inducted into the Frank G. Hamm Society of Character at UK in 2006.

A native of Union, Ky., Stephens attended Covington Latin School where he was named the 2001 High School Player of the Year by the Kentucky Post and a 2001 Future Collegians World Tour First Team All-American. He also won the 2001 Greater Cincinnati Junior Metropolitan.
