CABO SAN LUCAS, Mex. - The University of Cincinnati's men's golf team was unable to finish second and third round action at the Cabo Intercollegiate due to a tropical storm near the coast. Sunday's first round scores will stand as the final results.
Senior David Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) finished tied for 24th, earning a 4-over par 76 at the Querencia Golf Club. University of Kentucky golfer, Will Bishop, ended the first round on top at 2-under par 70.
The University of Mississippi took home the title following the opening 18. The Rebels posted a Sunday best 8-over par 296. The Bearcats finished in 12th place at 30-over par 318.
Cincinnati sophomore Jared Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) tied for 41st place after shooting a 7-over par 79. Tied for 47th, freshman Blake Hamilton (Union, Ky./Ryle) earned an 8-over par 80. Freshman Emerson Newsome (Hoschton, Ga./Mill Creek) and Senior Andrew Desmarais (Union, Ky./Ryle) finish in 53rd place at 83.
The Bearcats return to action March 3-5 in Tampa, Fla. at the USF Invitational.
