KETTERING, Ohio---Three Bearcats finished in the top-10, helping the University of Cincinnati men's golf team to a second place finish at the Dayton Fall Invitational, played at the NCR Country Club on Monday. With a score of 316, Cincinnati finished just three shots back of the host Flyers.

Freshman Alberto Fernandez paced the Bearcats, with a career-best seventh place finish after shooting a round of 78. Juniors Geoff Newman and Joe Young tied for 10th after each shot a 79.

The team standings showed the Bearcats in a season-best second after their round of 316. UC's "B" squad also competed in the tournament, finishing 11th at 343.

The Bearcats will wrap up the fall portion of their schedule this weekend, competing in the BIG EAST/MAC Challenge on Friday and Saturday in Orlando, Fla.
