Tepe Takes Second Place at Metropolitan Amateur|

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati senior David Tepe finished the Metropolitan Amateur in second place after dropping the match play finals to Bill Willamson 1 up Saturday morning at Summit Hills Country Club.
Tepe took his first lead of the round with a birdie on the ninth hole and reclaimed a 1 up advantage with a birdie on the 12th hole. However, Williamson pulled all square by shooting par on the 14th hole then took the lead with a birdie on the 15th hole before maintaining his lead.
Tepe, a native of Liberty Township, Ohio was representing Four Bridges Country Club and had earned the tournament's top seed in the 64-player match play event after finishing first in the 200-player, two-round stroke play qualifying competition Monday and Tuesday at both Summit Hills Country Club (6,400 yards, par 70) and Hyde Park Golf & Country Club (6,650 yards, par 70).
Williamson was representing Coldstream Country Club.
