CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men’s golf team takes part in the two-day, 54-hole Marshall Invitational beginning Monday at the Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington, W.Va.
UC will play 36 holes on Monday, starting at 8:30 a.m. ET. The tournament concludes Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
The Bearcats are one of 15 teams competing along with Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, host Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Ohio, Ohio State, Richmond, Toledo, Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky, William & Mary, Wright State and Xavier.
Competing for UC will be senior David Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio), Jared Howard Dublin, Ohio/Jerome), Emerson Newsome (Hoschton, Ga./Mill Creek), Michael Wolf(Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) and Blake Hamilton (Union, Ky./Ryle).
Howard and Newsome led UC’s charge in the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate last week in New York, tying for 37th place at 229. The Bearcats finished 12th in the team standings at 926 in the first tournament of the fall season.
