CINCINNATI, Ohio---The University of Cincinnati men's and women's golf teams will launch an initiative to give back to the community when they begin the G.O.L.F. project tonight at Children's Hospital. On 12 occasions from now through May 2007, members of the teams will visit children at the hospital to spread cheer and goodwill.

G.O.L.F. stands for Giving Others Laughter and Friendship. On each visit, six members of the Bearcats teams will spend two and a half hours with those in the hospital. The list of dates the Bearcats will conduct the project are: Oct. 18, Nov. 2, Nov. 15, Dec. 7, Jan. 17, Feb. 1, Feb. 14, March 1, March 14, April 5, April 18, May 3 and May 16. "I am extremely proud of our teams as they show the desire and willingness to give back to community," UC head coach Janet Carl says. "I am very happy for our program to be associated with Children's Hospital and it is my hope that we truly make a difference in the kids lives."
