Men's Soccer Falls in Final Exhibition, 4-2, at Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team fell in its final exhibition match of 2013, dropping a 4-2 decision at Bowling Green.

After falling down 1-0, UC rallied to take a 2-1 lead on goals from Emmanuel Appiah (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville) and Brad Miguel (High Wycombe, England/Amersham and Wycombe College).

The Falcons found the back of the net first, with Danny Baraldi scoring in the 43rd minute to give BGSU a 1-0 lead at the half.

Appiah responded to even the match, 1-1, in the 53rd minute. Just 1:44 later, Miguel gave the Bearcats a 2-1 lead.

The Falcons responded with a goal from Anthony Grant to even the match 2-2, in the 58th minute. Dan Looker scored the game winner from Baraldi in the 73rd minute before Joe Sullivan gave the Falcons an insurance goal with 4:33 remaining.

Talyor Hafling (Louisville, Ky./Male/New Mexico) played all 90 minutes at keeper for the Bearcats, making five saves.

Head Coach Hylton Dayes and the Bearcats will open the 2013 campaign on Friday, Aug. 30, when they face Northern Illinois to open the Bert and Iris Wolstein Soccer Classic at Ohio State. Match time is 5:00 p.m. ET.
