Men's Soccer Drops Tight Match at Bradley

PEORIA, Ill. - The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to defending Missouri Valley Conference champion Bradley Sunday afternoon (Sept. 16) at Shea Stadium.  The Bearcats, who scored four goals on Thursday night in disposing of Xavier, fall to 1-4-0 on the season, with all four losses coming away from home.  The Braves improve to 4-1-1.

Bradley's Grant Campbell scored the game winner in the 78th minute amongst some congestion in front of the UC goal.  He was assisted by Chris Cutshaw and Justin Bigelow.

The Braves outshot UC, 14-9, including a 9-4 margin in the decisive second half. 

Bearcat goalkeeper Miguel Rosales (Aurora, CO/Smoky Hill) made four saves.  His counterpart, Mike Haynes, made three saves and posted his second shutout of the season.

UC returns to Gettler Stadium to take on Georgetown on Sept. 21 in the second match of a doubleheader with the women's team.  Kickoff is set for approximately 8 p.m.
