CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men’s soccer program will hold two winter College ID Camps, the first being Saturday, January 26, 2013 and the second on Saturday, February 16, 2013. The camps offer prospective student-athletes the opportunity to tour UC and exhibit their skills for several college coaches, including UC’s staff. Both the January and February College ID Camps will be held on the campus of the University of Cincinnati in the Sheakley Athletic Center Bubble from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Participants will receive instruction from college coaches, tour UC’s amazing athletic facilities, will have a lecture pertaining to recruitment and a demonstration for strength and conditioning for a college soccer player. Field sessions will include dynamic movements in warm up, footwork and agility, speed of play, small-sided play and full 11-on-11 matches. Over each of the last six years of the College ID Camp participants have been identified and gone on to become a part of the UC men’s soccer program.
Space is limited and filling up quickly. Interested participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible to ensure a spot. The camps are open to potential college student-athletes (males age 14 and older) and require a $150 registration fee. Registration is available at www.cincinnatisocceracademy.com/winter.php.
